In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The plot presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.

The adventure focuses on "strange tests and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an unique katana in addition to numerous objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
