European Leaders Decry US Move as ‘Intimidation’
European leaders such as the French president charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the travel bans targeted individuals who have been at the heart of efforts to enact laws regulating US-based technology firms.
“For too long, ideologues in Europe have spearheaded organised efforts to coerce US companies to punish US perspectives they disagree with,” stated the US secretary of state online. “The current administration will no longer tolerate such actions of censorship beyond its borders.”
